Escape and Wait

Song courtesy of Kulica

An “Escape and Wait” is a reflective blue pentagon with clear instructions on what to do and where to go during a house fire.

The “Escape and Wait” is mounted on a family’s emergency meeting place outside the house. It clearly identifies where everyone should meet and wait for the Fire Department. Even children to young to read can understand the need to “Escape” to the bright blue pentagon and “Wait” for the rest of the family.

Fire Departments do an amazing job teaching Stop Drop and Roll. Where they fall short is teaching escape plans and meeting places.

The “Escape and Wait” System provides a solution to the problems Firefighters find teaching home escape planning, and implementation.
